Volunteer Compensation Acknowledgment

Thank you for volunteering your time and energy to help make the 1st Annual RiverCity Fitness Expo a success! We truly appreciate the dedication of our volunteers who assist with setup, registration, athlete check-in, stage support, crowd management, and more.

As a token of our gratitude, all volunteers who commit to and complete a full shift (or agreed-upon hours) will receive the following compensation:

• Free General Admission to the entire event (access to the expo floor, vendor area, and spectator seating for competitions)

• Official Event Volunteer T-Shirt (to wear during your shift and keep afterward)

• Meal Voucher for on-site concessions during your shift

• Exclusive Access to watch competitions up close (where possible, based on role)

• Certificate of Appreciation and social media shoutout (with your permission)
  

Volunteers are unpaid positions, and these perks are provided in lieu of monetary compensation. Shifts are typically 4-8 hours, and we’ll work with you to find a schedule that fits.

Volunteer Disclaimer

I, the undersigned, desire to volunteer my services for the 1st Annual River City Fit Expo and the NPC Indiana Muscle (the "Event"). I understand that volunteering may involve physical activity, including but not limited to setting up/tearing down equipment, assisting with crowd control, ticket handling, security duties, client services, and general assistance in a busy event environment.

I acknowledge that participation in the Event involves certain risks, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or other losses. These risks may arise from the actions of other volunteers, competitors, spectators, vendors, or event conditions.

In consideration of being permitted to volunteer:

1. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation.

2. I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless the Event organizers (including Trevor Baker, Derek Shelton, Eric Schmidt, event staff, sponsors, vendors, and affiliates), the venue (Old National Events Plaza), and their respective officers, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or illness that may occur as a result of my volunteering, including those caused by negligence.

3. I agree to indemnify and defend the released parties against any claims brought by third parties arising from my actions.

4. I confirm that I am in good health and physically able to perform the volunteer duties. If I have any medical conditions, I will inform event staff in advance.

5. I grant permission for event organizers to use any photographs, videos, or recordings of me taken during the Event for promotional purposes without compensation.
   

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Indiana.
